Some might say that Kenny Bontz was a dealt a bad hand in life, but he would argue that the hand he was dealt is what helped make him the unique individual he is today. At the age of 11, Kenny started his uphill battle when he was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. Years later, when he was 19, he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in his lower leg, which is a rare type of cancerous tumor that grows in the bone. After numerous complications, Kenny made the brave decision to amputate that leg at the age of 35. With time and perseverance, he learned how to walk again using his new prosthetic leg and has gained a new appreciation for life. Kenny has owned 2 businesses (Offset Printing and Landscaping) and is moving on to his next goal in life. One of his biggest passions is golf and he has had the opportunity to travel the world to play in tournaments in 4 different countries, along with winning 4 National Amputee Golf Championships (2014, 2017-2019). Kenny is now looking forward to completing his next goals which is to become the first amputee to play on the PGA Champions Tour and helping disabled golfers through Moving Foreward.
